Swimming is an individual or group physical activity inside a pool or open-source of water. The power of your skeleton muscles will push your body against the resistance of water. Swimming will improve the fitness of the body and also help to build a fresh mind.

IIT Gandhinagar has one 10 lane 50 x 25 m swimming pool with a sloping depth of 1.2 m to 2 m, to conduct races and train for the same. Additionally, we also have a learner’s pool (18 x 10 m and depth of 1.2m) and one baby pool (7 x 2.4 m and depth 60cm) for the new swimmers. The facility also has showers, changing rooms, and lockers to safeguard the belongings of swimmers. Also, around 50 spectators can be accommodated around the pool during the race. The team has won numerous medals in the past at different events of Inter IITs, Khel Mahakumbh and Intercollege tournaments.
