Athletics is important for almost every sport. It helps improve stamina, muscle strength, and fitness. IIT Gandhinagar has a 400 m synthetic turf athletic track with proper lane marking, surrounding the football field. Additionally, we also have facilities for Javelin throw, discuss throw, Shotput and hammer throw. The lights around the track provide around 165 lux of brightness on the track.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. Ground will be available for use from 6 AM to 9 PM.
2. Proper sports gear and attire ( for ex. Tracksuit, trackpant, lower, tshirts etc.)  is a must.
3. Jogging on a wet track is strictly prohibited.
4. Usage of floodlights after 9 PM will only be allowed in special cases.
5. Food and beverages are prohibited on the track.
